Our Primary School Program Learn and Connect Outdoors is suitable for all students kindergarten to year 6 and offers engaging, hands-on sustainability education in a 6-week in a term format. Work with us to start or re-invigorate an outdoor space into an edible garden or a habitat and see your students flourish!

Teachers can rest easy knowing the program delivers outdoor lessons firmly built around the NSW curriculum and the cross-curriculum priorities of Sustainability and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Histories and Cultures, along with many of the other general capabilities.

For students, along with embedding this curriculum knowledge, the experiential outdoor setting brings so many benefits, among them bridging theory and practice, improved health, increased engagement, resilience and wellbeing, and life-skill development. Read here to find out how a Queensland school turned around negative behaviours by taking lessons outdoors.

Our program also supports and develops indigenous awareness and community engagement through its indigenous educator day and the opportunity it gives schools to participate in broader events such as National Tree Day or to work together to create individual community events such as a Harvest Day.
